About Me

Christopher Muñoz
Visual Designer
El Paso, Texas

Hello and welcome to my design journey.

I was born & raised in the Sun City of El Paso, Texas. Raised by a single mother and two older sisters, it’s here where my journey began loving the sport of basketball & the art of drawing. My earliest memories were playing basketball and jumping around dancing being a little ball of energy. Love for music & dancing runs in the family and it hit me just as hard. When I had to settle down I’d be doodling instead of taking notes and mimicking my favorite cartoons and superheroes. Anything from Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z & Power Rangers to all of the Marvel/DC universe. A lot of my time was spent playing video games and watching wrestling religiously growing up. From a young age I had the innate ability to comprehend things pretty quickly and soon I was creating realism drawings of my favorite basketball players and wrestlers.

By high school my main focus was being good at basketball and competing at a high level. The game of basketball helped build a lot of my character today such as learning the meaning of discipline, leadership and team work. By my sophmore year I evolved rapidly as a drawer and my teacher placed me in advanced art classes. I started to learn how to really push my creativity and crafting my techniques in various mediums. It was in these classes that my teacher showed me Photoshop for the first time ever and the medium of graphic design, I immediatley became hooked. During my college years are when I figured out design is my passion and I knew I wanted to do it for a living. As much as I loved the Fine Arts I really enjoyed creating logos and digital experiences like web design. With my love of art & eventually technology, I feel design has helped blend those two aspects together for my enjoyment as well as my career.

Design goes beyond aesthetics, its about creating a tone and experience through my work. As a problem solver I think about the most simplest and effective manner to communicate a message and solve solutions.

This design process translates into my life today as I enjoy living a minimalist lifestyle. I love to learn new perspectives on life and I am constantly observant of the world around me. I believe in positive energy having a strong independence but also being kind and generous to others when need be. I love to listen to podcasts and create while continually pushing myself to learn various topics and new techniques. I spend most of my time loving sports, technology, comedy and a huge fan of the world of wrestling.
